Technical Product Specification

Specifications

The ZT 5085 platform is designed to meet NEBS and ETSI requirements. Although the ZT 5085 is
designed for NEBS-compliance, due to its high power requirements, the system may deviate from
NEBS in order to align itself with industry power requirements and trends.

Acoustic Sound Pressure: 55.1 dBA with fans operating in normal mode (80 percent of full speed
capabilities).

Power Density is 104 W/U (Watts per Rack Unit)

Table 13

summarizes the environmental specifications for the ZT 5085. The environmental

specifications were derived from the appropriate NEBS and ETSI specifications. Samples were
subjected to the environmental parameters listed below and successfully met the requirements.

A.3

Electrical Specifications

The ZT 5085's configuration options allow either an AC or  DC power input panel.

AC input voltage:

100-230 VAC continuous, 50-60 Hz, 20 A total current

DC input voltage:

-40 V to -60 VDC, 50 A total current

Fan voltage:

12 VDC

The system passed the System Acoustic Sound Pressure test when the fans were set to nominal speed
(80%), but the system does not meet the sound pressure limits required for telecommunications
equipment when the fans are running at high speed (100%). Sound pressure measurements were made
in all four bystander positions for the Fort Collins server unit. The Sound Pressure Limit of 60 dBA was
never exceeded in any measurements when the fans were set to nominal speed (80%). In some
instances, the EUT did not produce significant noise in all bands. Therefore, the true noise values for
those bands was not determined.
