Technical Product Specification

Cooling Subsystem

The following parameters will turn the LED on the fan tray from green to amber:

Logic on fan tray board, no CMM control:

•

The fan tach indicates that any fan is stopped (TACHS_OK_L signal – “logic 1”).

•

The +12 V voltage level drops below +8.625 V.

•

The J3 on the fan tray is not connected to the corresponding connector on the backplane
properly. Pin 16 on J3 that gets pulled low when the fan tray mates to the backplane. If this pin
is not pulled low, the amber LED will be turned on.

CMM Control (parameters may be set from CMM):

•

The fan tray +5 V drops below the unhealthy limit.

•

The fan tray +12 V drops below +10.647 V

•

Any of the 3 fans in the tray drops below 2289 RPM

5.2

Intake Grill with Air Filter

An air intake grill with a replaceable air filter is attached to the bottom front of the ZT 5085
platform. The grill must be removed to replace the filter. The grill must also be removed to access
the system's power supplies.

The following instructions describe removing the intake grill and replacing the air filter. Refer to

illustration for grill location.
