7.
Ensure that the ejection tabs at both ends of the memory slot are pushed outward to the open
position (see Letter A).
8.
Carefully unpack the replacement memory module, taking care to handle the device by its outer
edges only.
9.
Align the notch in the memory module edge connector edge with the key in the memory slot
(see Letter B).
10.
Insert the memory module into the memory slot.
•
Using even pressure along the top edge, push down on the memory module (see Letter C) until
the ejection tabs of the memory slot snap into place (see Letter D).
11.
Ensure that the ejection tabs are firmly in place (see Letter E).
12.
Reinstall the system top cover (see
Section 6.1.2
).
Note:
Replacing Intel® Optane™ PMem 300 series modules require additional steps to enable and configure
them. Refer to the appropriate Intel® Optane™ PMem 300 series documentation to complete the installation
process for these devices.
