Search on your phone and on the web with the built-in Search function.

To run a search.
1. 

Press 

.

2. 

Type a search term. As you type, 

  Search displays matching results.

3. 

Touch a matching result to open it, or press 

 

to search the web.

TIP:

 Touch the 

 icon next to a result to enter that result as search text.

TIP:

 Find items in a search-enabled app, such as Email or Music, by opening 

the app and pressing 

.

To narrow your search.

• 

 Touch 

 and specify where to search (for example, search only Contacts or 

Messaging app).

TIP: 

You can specify which applications are available for Search by touching 

the options icon in the corner of the chooser 

 and selecting which apps to 

search.
