Connecting Blocking Device EloXT II
This paragraph describes in general how to proceed in order to set func-
tions via blocking device EloXT II mechanically.
After the installation switch on unit EloXT II in order to make your settings
take effect (via software TwinComm USB or with menu
Settings
/
Alarm devices
/
TwinXT
).
Caution
Danger of malfunction if system is installed wrongly.
Danger of installing a system that cannot be opened and closed.

Before installing the system, on tab
‘Settings’ of the
optional software
TwinComm USB tick off (AE: check off) the box ‘Bolt work’ in section
‘TwinXT active (IO-Functions)’ if you do not use this switch or tick off
‘Release switch’, if you do not use that switch.
1.
Separate EloXT II from its power supply. If necessary, remove the cover of the unit
by loosening the fastening screws.
2.
Remove the blocking unit from its fastening points.
3.
Connect the cable for lock 1 and, as the case may be, the cables for lock 2 and 3
at the sockets and connect other cables with terminals.
4.
Pull the cables leading outward through the bottom of EloXT II.
5.
Sever the wires of jumpers R1, R3 and R5 with a screw driver. See fig.

Inside EloXT II, secure the position of the cables with a cable strap in order to
relieve mechanical tension.
7.
If necessary, remove a part of the pre-fabricated apertures in the side of the bottom
part of the housing.
Caution
Exerting too much force may damage the unit.
Fasten the screws with a maximum torque of
5 Nm
.
8.
Pull cable through this aperture and fasten unit EloXT II at the fastening points.
9.
Put cover on top of unit EloXT II and fasten it with screws.
You have read about the basic proceedings necessary for connecting the cables and
terminals of unit EloXT II In order to connect specific contacts successfully, see the
following instructions.
5.6.3
Connecting the Release Contacts of EloXT II
With the input contact ‘Release’ closed, a lock is blocked. It can neither be
opened nor closed. With the input contact ‘Release’ open, a lock is released
and can as well be opened as closed.
At one blocking device EloXT II, you can install Release contacts for up to
two locks. For the contact use terminals 16 and 17.

Connect the Release contacts professionally and according to your demands to
the circuit you use.
You have successfully connected the Release contacts of EloXT II.
No Release
will be on display if somebody makes an attempt at opening a lock that
is not release.
