Remote Configuration of the i-modul Modem 336 LL 
3.0 

 

Performing the remote configuration 

 

In the following, we show how you can configure the i-modul Modem 336 LL 3.0 
remotely. 

 

You will need a PC, which is connected with one of both i-modul Modem 336 LL 
3.0 at the leased line via the serial interface. 

 

The i-modul Modem 336 LL 3.0 must already have established a data connection 
to the remote terminal. 

 

You will need a terminal program. 

1.

 

Open your terminal program. 

2.

 

Open the serial interface, to which the i-modul Modem 336 LL 3.0 is connected. 

3.

 

Enter **** (four asterisks). This will change the modem into remote maintenance 
mode. 

 

If you have configured a password, you will now need to enter it. 

 

After you have successfully entered the password, the i-modul Modem 336 
LL 3.0 will send a prompt in form of an ">". 

 

Now, you can configure the i-modul Modem 336 LL 3.0 remotely. 

 

Some AT commands are not available in remote maintenance mode. These 
are the AT commands 

ATA

, 

AT&F

, 

AT/B

.

Complete the remote configuration by entering 

AT*E. 

 

The i-modul Modem 336 LL 3.0 is now in normal data connection mode. 
You can now exchange data between your local modem and the i-modul 
Modem 336 LL 3.0, or terminate the connection.
