Turn your tablet on or off

Turn on your tablet

Press and hold the button. Your tablet turns on.

Note

If you don't touch your tablet for a period of time (depending on the screen timeout setting), it may sleep with the
screen off. Press briefly to wake it up.

Turn off your tablet

There are a few ways to turn off your tablet. You can:

Press and hold the button for three seconds, and then swipe down.

If in tablet mode, tap (power), and then tap

Shut down

If in desktop mode, tap (Start menu),
