Heating water

With the kettle filled, plug in the heating base. The lights on the control panel will
turn on for one to two seconds, then turn off.

Press the
(power) button. The
(power) button and
212° F
buttons light. The
kettle begins heating the water.
You can press any of the other temperature buttons, such as
160° F, 175° F, or 195° F
,
at any time. The kettle will heat the water to the selected temperature.

If you want to keep the water warm, you can press the
Keep warm
button at any time
and choose a temperature. The kettle keeps the water at the selected temperature for
one hour (60 minutes).

When the water reaches the selected temperature, the tea kettle beeps to let you
know. Lift the kettle from the heating base and pour the water.
Using the tea infuser

Remove the kettle lid, with the tea infuser attached, from your tea kettle.

Open the tea infuser lid by turning it until the arrow lines up with the “open” mark.

Put the amount of tea you want into the infuser basket (we recommend one to two
teaspoons (5 -10 g), then replace the lid by turning it until the arrow lines up with
“lock” mark.

Fill your kettle with enough water for the tea you want, making sure that you do not
fill it past the maximum mark (“1.2 L TEA MAX”), then replace the lid, with the tea
infuser attached, onto your kettle.

Plug in your kettle and press the
(power) button to turn it on.

Press any preset temperature button (160° F, 175° F, 195° F, or 212° F). The
temperature indicator light turns on and the water begins heating.

After the water temperature reaches the preset temperature, the power turns off. Let
the infuser basket remain in the kettle to steep the tea, and remove it when the color
of the tea indicates that the tea is ready (depending on your personal preference).
Using the tea kettle memory function
If you decide that you want your tea kept warm, the
Keep Warm
button can be pressed
at any time during the heating process. With the Keep Warm function selected, you can
remove the tea kettle from the heating base for up to three minutes and have the heating
base remain on.
The temperature buttons can also be pressed at any time to select the temperature to
which you want the water heated.
CAUTIONS:
• Make sure that the lid is firmly in place before connecting the power cord to the
outlet. If the lid is loose, hot water could overflow and result in a scald or burn.
• Always exercise caution when pouring water from your kettle. Contact with boiling
water could result in a scald or burn.
• Do not open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
Note:
You can store your kettle on the heating base when it’s not in use. Make sure that
the power is turned off.
