Imprinter

Through the two integrated imprinters it is possible to print the front and/or back of the scanning

material with a variety of information. The imprinters supplied in standard configurations will only

print single rows in the direction of scanning, while the optional HD versions are able to print up

to four lines or text in different text heights. They will even print the information in the form of bar

codes, if required. However, a mixed operation of standard imprinter and HD imprinter in one device

is technically not possible.
The used imprinters operate completely independently of each other and can therefore print different

information at different times (

events

). The configuration of imprinter texts and the printer control is

performed within the Profile Management (

see chapter

4.6.6.1.

8.1.

Imprinter Front (Before Scanning)

As can be seen in the chapter heading, information can be applied to the front of the scan documents

with the Imprinter Front

prior to

scanning. This also means that these printed information can also

be seen on the images of the scanned documents. If not desired, the Imprinter Back (

next

section

)

should be used instead.

The Imprinter Front is located behind the gaiter moun-

ted between the document feeder and the output tray.

This is kept at the bottom by a magnetic tape and can

be pushed up in order to obtain access to the Imprinter

Front. For this purpose, the Output Tray should be in

the top position. When lowering the gaiter it must be

ensured that they run laterally in the guide rails again.

8.2.

Imprinter Back (After Scanning)

In contrast to the Imprinter Front, the Imprinter Back is printing the information only on the rear side

of the documents after scanning so that the information cannot be seen on the images of the scanned

documents.

The Imprinter Back is located on the rear panel of the de-

vice, below the Cover Output Hopper (

see chapter

6.3.

which must be removed to gain access to this Imprinter.

Due to the structural arrangement of the Imprinter Back, documents that are deposited in the

Rear Output Tray (see chapter
