The
WORKSHOP TOOLS
tab allows you to perform several OEM service
reset procedures. Depending on the vehicle being tested, it can offer up to
eight options: Oil Maintenance Reset, Battery Reset, Electric Parking Brake
(EPB) Reset, Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Calibration, Transmission Fluid
Temperature, ABS Bleeding, Battery/Alternator Test, and EV/HEV/PHEV
Battery Health.
OIL MAINTENANCE RESET
Resetting the Oil Maintenance Light
1.
Tap
Oil Maintenance Reset
on the Workshop Tools screen.
n
An “instructional” dialog displays to confirm selection.
n
Select
Yes
to continue. Or,
No
to cancel.
n
A “One moment” message displays while the procedure is in process.
2.
When the reset process has competed, a confirmation message displays. Tap
Exit
to return to the Workshop
Tools screen.
n
If the oil reset was not successful, an advisory message displays.
NOTE:
If the Scan Tool cannot reset the Oil Maintenance Light, an “instructional”
dialog displays, showing the manual procedures for resetting the indicator light.
When finished viewing the instructions, tap
Back
to return to the Workshop Tools
screen.
