PSU/Cooling module LED
The PSU LED alerts you of the current status of your PSU and cooling module components. When
either of the components fails, you must replace the PSU immediately.
WARNING!
Keep your fingers away from moving parts of the system to prevent technical mishaps and
physical injuries.

Description
The system is connected to the power source but the system is not turned on.
The PSU/cooling module is operating normally.
The PSU/cooling module is faulty.

This section details the system alarms and I
2
C bus.
Audible alarms
You will hear an audible alarm if any of the following components fails:
•
Cooling fan modules
•
PSU modules
•
Hard disk drives
•
Sensors or presence detection circuitries
If you hear an audible alarm, ensure to read the error message on the terminal or SANWatch screen
to determine the cause of the alarm. Take appropriate actions to solve the problem. You can turn off
the alarm using the mute button on the front panel. To know more of the alarm beep patterns, see the
Troubleshooting Guide included in the bundled CD.
NOTE:
When the temperature exceeds the preset threshold, the controller’s charger circuits stop
charging. You will receive a messages that says
Thermal Shutdown/Enter Sleep Mode
. When the
temperature falls back to normal range, the battery resumes charging.

C bus
The operating status of the PSU and cooling fan modules are collected via the I
2
C serial bus. If either of
the modules fails, the system detects the failure and you will be notified via the same methods stated in
audible alarms.
