2.7.3 Detaching the HAPSITE from the Service Module
Carefully follow the procedures starting with
section 14.8, Detaching the HAPSITE,
to detach the HAPSITE from the Service Module.
CAUTION
Never physically remove the HAPSITE from the Service
Module while the Turbo pump is spinning. The Turbo
Speed must be at 0 Hz before removing the HAPSITE
from the Service Module. Damage can result to both the
HAPSITE and Service Module if
is not performed prior to
physically removing the HAPSITE from the Service
Module.

2.9 Sample Collection Modes
The Sample Loop is used to detect chemicals in the low ppm to high ppb
concentration range. Concentrator tubes are used to detect chemicals in the low
ppb to high ppt concentration range. The following procedures are used to install
and remove the Sample Loop and Concentrator tubes.
2.9.1 Installing the Sample Loop
The Sample Loop is a hollow stainless steel tube. The sample volume is
approximately 200 µL. Black insulation covers the center of the Sample Loop and
each end has a nut and ferrule assembly. See
NOTE:
The HAPSITE is originally shipped with the Sample Loop in place.
