General Purpose Interface (GPI)
GPI connections to the PX-ALARM module are via a Micro DB25 connector on the front card edge of the
PCB. The GPI Inputs are non-isolated inputs. A contact closure to ground asserts/triggers the GPI Input.

A 1k Ohm series resistor and clamping diode are connected to each Input, to protect the Input from over
voltage.
The GPI Outputs are electrically isolated using a Relay with 3 contacts. Access to all 3 contacts of the
relay have been provided to allow for defining the preferred method of signaling critical faults.
