The V-position is particularly recommended when scanning bound,
sensitive books and documents. The plates are held in position by a
supporting leg on each side. The low opening angle puts minimal strain on
the book binding.
The book cradle plates can be pushed apart horizontally. The maximum
possible distance between the plates is 100 mm (4 inch). This position is
particularly suitable for scanning bound originals.
Additional scan buttons
The scan sequence can also be started by pressing one of the two blue
scan buttons located on either side of the book cradle plates or by pressing
the scan button on the control panel.
