HiSeq X Patterned Flow Cell
The HiSeq X flow cell is a patterned flow cell with billions of ordered nano-wells. The wells
are manufactured into the glass of the flow cell allowing for the generation of sequencing
clusters in an ordered arrangement. Clusters are aligned closely together increasing the
number of output reads and amount of sequencing data generated. The HiSeq X patterned
flow cell contains 8 lanes with 2 swaths per lane, and has the same general dimensions as
a HiSeq high-output flow cell.
The patterned flow cell is provided in the HiSeq X HD Reagent Kit, and shipped dry in a
foil-wrapped package. Inside the foil package, the flow cell is packaged in a protective
plastic clamshell case.
