Install the pushrods by fitting the pre-formed (90º bend) end
into the clip (1) and then swivelling it through 90º so that it
snaps into place (2).

Fit the pre-formed (Z-bend) end of the pushrods in the outer
hole of the servo output arm, and swivel it up as shown.
We will start with the pitch-axis servo. Connect the longer
pushrod to the servo output arm.
Slide the retaining clip up until you clearly hear both
retaining hooks snap outwards into the rotor head. Next clip
the two collective pitch pushrods into the collective pitch
bellcranks from the inside. Once again you should clearly
hear the connection engage.

The rotor head is now free to swivel in the ballraces.
Set up the helicopter on a straight and level surface,
and watch the flybar. If one paddle always hangs
down, first check that the distance to the centre is
identical on both sides, and correct if necessary. If the
imbalance persists, apply a little adhesive tape to the
paddle which rises, and continue adjusting until both
paddles remain exactly level.
The high acceleration forces which occur with the PRO-
Piccolo require additional retaining measures for the rotor
head. Slide the retaining clip 68215 down, initially over the
centre piece only, and then fit the two 2 x 6 x 3 mm
ballraces 67566 onto the centre piece. Now clip the
prepared rotor head onto the ballraces.
Bend the flexible hinge section of the swashplate driver
67366 forward slightly, with the sharp edge of the ball
socket on the inside, as shown in the drawing. Cautiously
open up the U-shaped end until the driver can be fitted
onto
the projecting spigots
of the collective pitch sleeve.
Take
care
: the driver must be fitted on the correct side (see
drawing)! Now press the ball socket onto the ball on one of
the short arms of the swashplate inner ring.
Clip the flybar pushrods 68222 onto the balls on the long
arms of the swashplate inner ring first, then onto the flybar
control arms. Here again the sharp edge of the pushrods
should face the linkage balls.
