Set the system time

The system time consists of date and time. The device provides the following options for setting the
system time:
Manual:
The operator sets the date and time manually.
Via NTP server:
The device has an NTP client. The system time can be synchronised
with an NTP server.
Apply the system time of
a PC/laptop:
The device adopts the system time of a PC/laptop (only available via
the web interface of the device)
To set the system time:
1 Select the menu page

The following parameters display the current system time settings:

[Activate NTP]
Activate the NTP client of the
device
NTP client is deactivated:
Device adopts the manually set values for [Time] and
[Date].
NTP client is not active:
From an NTP server, the device adopts the values for
[Time] and [Date].
Status LED
Status of NTP client and
synchronisation with NTP

[NTP not active

NTP client is deactivated:
Applicable are the manually set values
for [Time] and [Date].
[NTP waiting
]
NTP client is active:
Device waits for messages from NTP
server.
[NTP successful
]
NTP client is active:
Time synchronisation with NTP server
was successful.
