2.10.1 SATA Drives

The WAFER-LX supports two, first generation SATA drives with transfer rates of up to

150 Mb/s

2.10.2 IDE HDD Interfaces

The WAFER-LX system chipset IDE controller supports up to two HDDs with the following

specifications:

Supports PIO IDE transfers up to 16 MB/s

Supports the following Ultra ATA devices:

Ultra ATA/100

, with data transfer rates up to 100 MB/s

Ultra ATA/66

, with data transfer rates up to 66 MB/s

Ultra ATA/33

, with data transfer rates up to 33 MB/s

2.10.3 Floppy Disk Drive (FDD)

The WAFER-LX supports a single FDD. The following FDD formats are compatible with

the board.

5.25”: 360 KB and 1.2 MB

3.5”: 720 KB, 1.44 MB and 2.88 MB

2.10.4 Compact Flash Support

A standard CF I or CF II card can be inserted into the compact flash slot on the solder side

of the WAFER-LX PCB.
