3.3 Hardware Installation 

To install the Mustang-MPCIE-MX2, please follow the steps below. 

Step 1: 

Prepare the computer.

 Turn off the computer, and remove the power cord from 

the rear of the power supply. 

  WARNING: 

Disconnect the computer from the power supply and from any networks 
to which you will install the Mustang-MPCIE-MX2, or you risk damaging 
the system or experiencing electrical shock. 

 

Step 2: 

Remove the cover from the chassis. 

Step 3: 

Locate an available PCIe Mini slot.

 The Mustang-MPCIE-MX2 is compatible 

with full-size PCIe Mini slot.   

Step 4: 

Insert into the socket.

 Line up the notch on the module with the notch on the 

slot. Slide the Mustang-MPCIE-MX2 into the socket at an angle of about 20º. 

Step 5: 

Secure the Mustang-MPCIE-MX2

 with one or two retention screws (depending 

on the available slot. 

Step 6: 

Re-install the cover of the chassis

. 

Step 7: 

Reconnect any power cords and any network cables to the system. 

Power 

up the system.
