3.1 Anti-static Precautions
WARNING:
Failure to take ESD precautions during installation may result in
permanent damage to the iSDV-200CTR and severe injury to the user.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can cause serious damage to electronic components,
including the iSDV-200CTR. Dry climates are especially susceptible to ESD. It is therefore
critical that whenever the iSDV-200CTR or any other electrical component is handled, the
following anti-static precautions are strictly adhered to.
 Disconnect Power : Power to the iSDV-200CTR must be disconnected
during the installation process, or before any attempt is made to access the
bottom panel. Electric shock and personal injury might occur if the
iSDV-200CTR’s chassis is opened while the power cord is still connected to
an electrical outlet.
 Grounding : The iSDV-200CTR should be properly grounded. The voltage
feeds must not be overloaded. Adjust the cabling and provide external
overcharge protection per the electrical values indicated on the label attached
to the back of the iSDV-200CTR.
3.2 Installation Precautions
During installation, be aware of the precautions below:
 Read the user manual : The user manual provides a complete description of
the iSDV-200CTR, installation instructions and configuration options.
 Air Circulation : Make sure there is sufficient air circulation when installing
the iSDV-200CTR. The iSDV-200CTR must not be obstructed by any objects.
Leave at least 5 cm of clearance around the iSDV-200CTR to prevent
overheating.
 Qualified Personnel : The iSDV-200CTR must be installed and operated only
by trained and qualified personnel. Maintenance, upgrades, or repairs may
