5 Application Example

■

Example 1: Using the DDC-03UHD as an EDID emulator

A switcher without EDID emulator is used after the DDC-03UHD. The source device outputs video at the

optimal resolution to the monitor by using the EDID of the DDC-03UHD that is installed before the switcher.

Select Built-in EDID or copied EDID.

The source device is able to acquire the monitor

’s EDID by using the EDID that is copied from the monitor.

Example 2: Using the DDC-03UHD as an extender

The DDC-03UHD is used between a Blu-ray player and monitor.

Since the DDC-03UHD includes an equalizer in the input side, a Blu-ray player can be placed up to 98.4 ft.

(30 m) (1080p@60) from the DDC-03UHD.

Select the EDID from Built-in EDID, copied EDID, and external EDID. If the monitor needs to be connected to ,

use External EDID to skip the EDID reset procedure.
