4.8 Connecting a Cradlepoint LTE Device to the
Network
Cradlepoint devices are centrally configured and managed by a cloud-based system called
NetCloud Manager. Once devices are sold, they will be created in a customer account on the
NetCloud Manager. Key users will be given accounts that will enable them to configure and
manage devices on NetCloud Manager.
Once you have access to NetCloud Manager, you can start configuring your devices based on
your use case.
When devices are activated and can communicate with NetCloud (via the SIM or a WiFi
network or even satellite connection), they will load the configuration from the NetCloud.
You can also configure single devices locally by accessing the NCOS user interface. Changes
made using the NCOS user interface will be synced with the NetCloud Manager and vice versa.
It is highly recommended that you become familiar with the NetCloud system prior to
deployment.
There are multiple resources available online from the Cradlepoint knowledge base. See
Cradlepoint IBR900 and NetCloud Manager References
for more information.
