How to: open and close head unit
1. Access to the head unit is solely for service
technicians when performing tasks such as
LCD and camera servicing and repair and
should not need to be accessed by
operational staff. The process is provided
here should the need arise for operational
staff to assist with head unit servicing or
repair.
2. Insert the kiosk security key into the head
unit lock and turn 90
o
anti-clockwise to
unlock. Some pressure may need to be
applied to the door to relieve the tension
on the locking cam.
3. The head unit is hinged on the left, so to
open swing the now unlocked front of the
head unit towards the front of the kiosk
from the key side.
4. To close the head unit, return the open
frame under control (do not slam as this
unit contains delicate electronic equipment
and finely calibrated face biometric
cameras). Turn the security key 90
o
clockwise to lock noting that some degree
of pressure may be required to align the
locking cam with the securing pin.
Note: The security key cannot be removed until
the barrel is in the locked position.
