For installation by a qualified electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes and the
following instructions. The suitability of this type of termination must be evaluated under the applicable
safety standards for the end use application. Assemble contact to the cables according to the equip
-
ment manufacturer’s assembly instructions. The following instructions are supplied as a reference.
Please Note: Instructions are included with each crimp tool for terminating specific contacts. Use
APP® recommended tooling only. Alternative tools my adversely affect the performance of our con
-
nectors along with UL and CSA recognition.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Strip wire to 5/16 inches (7.9 mm) (Figure 1) taking
care to avoid nicking or cutting of wire strands.
Do not bend or twist strands too sharply.

TERMINATION
2. Manufacturer recommends termination by crimping.
Crimped - Insert wire to the base of contact, then crimp. Note: indentation should fall in the middle
of the barrel (see Figure 2). Use recommend crimp tools only. Crimping by other means may
disturb contact position in housing and/or produce high resistance joints.
