Step 2: Initialize I/O module
The factory settings of I/O modules are listed in the first table. If the current settings of the
module are unknown, only initialize the module to reset the settings as listed in the second
table.
The factory settings:

The initial settings:

To initialize an I-7000 module, set the DIP switch to INIT (or connect the INIT* pin to the GND
pin) and power on the module. This status also called “INIT mode”.
o
To initialize an I-87K module, set the DIP switch on the I-87K4/5/8/9. For example, adjust the
Dip-2 to “ON” and restart the I-87Kn to initialize the module on slot2.

Step 3: Select COM Port and Baud Rate to search
Click Windows “Start” and point to “programs”, “ICPDAS”, and “DCON_Utility”. Then, click
DCON_Utility to execute the software.

menu to select the COM Port and Baud Rate to search. You can select
multiple Baud Rate, Protocol, or Checksum if you do not know the module’s setting, but it
will spend more time searching the module. After selection, click
