3.14 Setting I-7000 and I-87K Remote I/O by DCON Utility
PAC can link up to 64 pcs ICP DAS's I-7000 and I-87K series remote I/O modules.
Important Notice:
Before the I-7000 or I-87K I/O modules are connected to the PAC, the user needs to set the
unique address (NET-ID) and the same baud rate with the PAC for each I/O module by using
DCON Utility.
DCON Utility is a toolkit that can be used to search, configure, and test the I/O modules.

NOTE:
1. Make sure the hardware connection is correct.
2. Configure I-87K I/O modules with I-87Kn or RU-87Pn .
3. Search and configure the modules one by one.
4. Set the module as the INIT mode and power it up.
Step 1: Hardware connection
1. The power supply must be DC power b10 ~ +30 V.
2. The figure below shows the way to connect the I-87K4 and I-87K module. Note that only
connect one module for each time.
NOTE:
For using I-87K4 I/O module, you have to prepare an I-7520R (RS-232 to RS-485) converter. Also,
refer to
“
DCON Utility User’s Manual ” for more information about wiring the module.

In INIT mode, the setting of I/O module will be initialized.
