PROGRAMMING VIA SOFTWARE
Using the ICOM programming software allows you to program all the functions explained
above and easier than if you have to do it manually.
The software also allows to program some functions not available to manual programming.
Via the software, it is possible to choose a particular function from a list of choices for
each button, except the ON/OFF Switch and the Keypad.
Texts, frequencies of channels, CTCSS codes, output power and many other parameters
will be configured on the computer screen and can be saved as a file.
This software works with DOS and requires a RS 232 serial port
THE SOTWARE
All software versions are started with the same file:
ICC.EXE
INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE ON A PC
1.
create a directory in DOS with the command md ICOM and then type : cd ICOM
2.
copy the content of the diskette in this new directory with command : copy A : *.*
CONNECT HANDSET TO THE PC
1.
Check that the transceiver is turned off.
2.
the connection is made between the serial port and the handset socket via the
programming cable. Reference OPC-427.
