Transmitting a Message
You can transmit a message of up to 100 characters�
<Menu operation>
Portable:
For the Ten-key and the Simple key types
Mobile:
For the LCD types
(Menu > Signaling/Call >
Call Menu
)
1� Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen�
2� Push [Left] or [Right] to select “Signaling/Call,”
then push [OK]�
3� Push [Up] or [Down] to select “Call Menu,” then
push [OK]�
4� Push [Up] or [Down] to select an Individual or
Talkgroup ID, then push [OK]�
TIP:
About the Direct Dial function
When you select “Direct Dial” at the end of
the list, you can directly enter an Individual or
Talkgroup ID using [Up]/[Down] or Ten-key pad�

Push [Left]/[Right] to move the cursor and push
[Back] to delete the entered ID�

After entering, push [OK] to set the ID�
5� Push [Up] or [Down] to select “Message,” then
push [OK]�
