Smart-Ring operation
The rng functon has an answer back feature. Ths allows you to
confirm whether or not a call has reached to the member of your
group even f the operator s temporarly away from the trans-
cever.

Set the same operatng channel and CTCSS tone code for all of
your group transcevers. (p. 13)

Push
[Smart Ring/Ringer]
to send the Smart-Rng call.
• When a member of your group staton answers your call, the trans-
cever emts beep tones for every 10 sec.* and the LED ndcator
blnks wth an orange color.
*Depends on the pre-settng.
• Push
[MONI]
to cancel the Rnger beep and the LED blnkng.
• When no answer comes back, the transcever emts short falure
beep tones.

Push
[PTT]
to answer the call and to stop the beeps and blnk-
ng.
NOTE:
Ths functon s avalable only when the called staton
has use the same CTCSS tone code and the same operatng
channels as you.
