2. ADVANCED OPERATIONS
Duplex operation
The Duplex operation shifts the transmit
frequency up or down from the receive frequency
by an offset amount.
•OFF: For simplex operation (the receive and
transmit frequencies are the same).
•DUP–: The transmit frequency shifts down
from the receive frequency by the offset
amount.
•DUP+: The transmit frequency shifts up from
the receive frequency by the offset
amount.
1. Push

• Opens the FUNCTION screen.
2. Touch

at the bottom of the screen.
3. Touch [DUP].

Touching [DUP] changes between “DUP–,”
“DUP+,” and OFF.
4. Touch [DUP] for 1 second.
5. Enter the frequency offset, and then touch
[ENT].
NOTE: For only USA version:
When the Auto Repeater function is ON,
and the operating frequency is set out of the
Repeater output frequency range, the duplex
mode is automatically canceled.

SSB-DATA, AM-DATA, and FM-DATA modes
You can operate the data mode using AFSK
(Audio Frequency Shift Keying).

When operating PSK31, SSTV, or JT65B with a
PC application software, refer to the software’s
instruction manual.
1. Connect a PC or other device to the
transceiver.

2. Set the operating frequency and mode.
3. Refer to the application software for
communication details.

When operating in the SSB data mode, adjust
the device’s output level within the ALC zone.
TIP:
The carrier point is displayed when
operating AFSK in the SSB data mode.
