8-13 Ambient Temperature
Users can compensate for ambient sources of energy to eliminate the influence
of environmental temperatures.
The ambient temperature displays on the LCD
screen at the bottom as T:xx °X, where X is the selected temperature scale unit.
Adjust the ambient temperature as follows:
1.
Press the C Key until the ambient temperature
value is selected.
2.
Press either ◄ or ► on the directional pad to select a numerical value
placeholder.
3.
Press + on the directional pad to increase the number; Press - on the
directional pad to decrease the number.
4.
Repeat steps 2-3 until
ambient temperature
value is correct.
5.
Press and hold the C Key for 2 seconds to close the menu.
ACCESSING THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE MENU ALSO ACCESSES THE
HUMIDITY MENU. ENSURE YOU ARE CHANGING THE RIGHT NUMERICAL
VALUE PLACEHOLDERS WHEN ADJUSTING THE DISTANCE VALUE.
8-14 Humidity
Humidity remains in the atmosphere even on bright days. Water of all three states
can be found naturally in the atmosphere. Water in any state is an obstacle to
accurate temperature measurements. When the wave passes through the water
particles, a part of its energy is absorbed and a part is scattered. Therefore the
electromagnetic wave is attenuated.
The Humidity displays on the LCD screen at the bottom right corner as H:xx.
Correct for atmospheric attenuation by defining humidity
as follows:
1.
Press the C Key until the emissivity value is selected.
2.
Press either ◄ or ► on the directional pad to select a numerical value
placeholder.
3.
Press + on the directional pad to increase the number; Press - on the
directional pad to decrease the number.
4.
Repeat steps 2-3 until humidity value is correct.
5.
Press and hold the C Key for 2 seconds to close the menu.
ACCESSING THE HUMIDITY MENU ALSO ACCESSES THE AMBIENT
TEMPERATURE MENU. ENSURE YOU ARE CHANGING THE RIGHT NUMERICAL
VALUE PLACEHOLDERS WHEN ADJUSTING THE DISTANCE VALUE.
