TRACE MODE ENHANCES MOVEMENT. IT IS BEST TO PLACE THE DEVICE ON
A TRIPOD FOR STABILITY BEFORE BEGINNING AN INSPECTION USING TRACE
MODE. IF PERFORMING AN WALKING INSPECTION, IT IS BEST TO SWITCH TO
NORMAL MODE.
8-7 Detection Modes
8-7-1 Normal Mode
When powered on the device enters normal mode. In this mode, the device can
detect large gas leaks after it has been powered on for 5 minutes.
8-7-2 Trace Mode
Small gas leaks are difficult to detect in normal mode. The user can switch
to trace mode to enhance details and detect smaller leaks. There are 5 gas
sensitivity levels to choose from.
Since trace mode enhances movement it is best to place the device on a tripod
for stability before beginning an inspection.
Change the gas sensitivity as follows:
1.
Turn the F4 Dial to enable trace mode. The dial can be turned up to 5 levels.
2.
Turn the F5 Dial to disable trace mode and return to normal mode.
