data in the repository remains accessible during cloning. If backup data is written
to the clone, the relevant modified section is written as new data on the repository.
Note: The clone operation might be slower when the system is busy with other
resource consuming processes, such as replications.
Procedure
Follow the steps to clone a replication destination directory:
1. From the Systems Management view, choose Replication > Replication
Directory
> Clone a replication directory. The Clone a replication directory
window is displayed.
2. In the Source directory pane, select the file system from which to clone the
replication directory.
3. Click Browse to search for and select the directory name of the replication
directory you want to clone.
4. In the Target directory pane, select the file system and directory (or share) to
which you want to clone the replication directory.
5. Click Browse to select the new directory path and type the new directory name
to which the contents of the replication directory are to be copied.
6. Click Clone. A message displays that it may take time for all of the directory
contents to be copied.
7. Click yes to confirm and begin the operation. The Cloning progress window
displays the source and destination paths, the total number of files to be
cloned, the start time of the operation, and the number of files cloned per
second.
8. Click to hide the Cloning progress window.

About this task
Suspending replication activity temporarily pauses data replication between a
source and a destination. Whereas, blocking incoming replication activities is not a
temporary state, and must be reactivated when needed.
Suspending replication activity
This task describes how to suspend and resume data replication activity between a
source and a destination. You can suspend replication activity on a policy for up to
72 hours, without having to perform a full resynchronization between the source
and destination repositories.
