Place the PCIe3 6-slot fanout module on an electrostatic discharge (ESD) surface.

Remove the voltage regulator module. See Figure 11 on page 11.

Press the release latch (A) and lift the latch up to open it.
b.
Pull the voltage regulator module out of the fanout module.
c.
Place the voltage regulator module on an ESD surface.
