Making a VHSI Connection
An IBM WAN Adapter can connect as a DTE to devices such as Data Service
Units (DSUs) which support one of the following interfaces: V.24, V.35, EIA-
530, V.36/RS-449, or X.21.
The IBM WAN Adapter can be ordered with different interface cables as shown
in the table below.
To use an interface, simply install the appropriate cable. The WAN Adapter
recognizes the cable and automatically prepares the port for that interface.
Consult the documentation which came with your networking software for more
information about port configuration.
