Installing System Cables to I/O 01 Expansion Frame
Determine if you have a I/O 01 Expansion Frame to install. A I/O 01 frame is
populated channel connections at the rear of the frame. If you do not have a I/O 01
Expansion Frame to install go to “Installing System Cables to I/O 02 Expansion
Frame” on page 1-18
1 USI Cable
1. Connect the USI cable (PN 31L7720) to the
JU0 of the PMI (Processor Memory I/O) card in
the CPC frame.
2. Connect the the other end of the USI cable to
the JU0 of the FIB/BBD card in the I/O 01
frame.
2 STI Cable
Attention :
Use caution when installing STI (Self Timed
Interface) cables, cables can become
cocked or pins can be bent. Be aware of
the "D" connector orientation at the end of
a cable. Insure you match the shape of the
connector and the plug, do not force it.
1. Locate the STI cable in the frame
containing the CPC connected to the PMI
card at location
J00 .
2. Route the STI cable. to the I/O 01 frame.
3. Connect the STI cable to the FIB/BBD card
at location J00 .
