IBM posts SPEC CPU2006 scores for BladeCenter HS21 quad-core blade
October 14, 2008 ... IBM® BladeCenter® HS21 blade servers, coupled with the BladeCenter
chassis, deliver advanced application serving with performance, power efficiency, and scalability,
all of which makes them ideal for enterprise environments.
The HS21 blade server, using Intel’s latest quad-core technology, has demonstrated competitive
performance on the SPEC CPU2006 benchmark suite.
The scores in the following tables are the first SPEC CPU2006 results published for the HS21
blade model using the Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® Processor X5470 (3.33GHz, 12MB L2 cache,
1333 MHz FSB—8 cores/2 chips/4 cores per chip). (1) These results were achieved using SUSE
Linux® Enterprise Server 10 x64 SP1.
