Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver or 7 mm socket, remove the four M5 screws (C) that attach the
shipping bracket (A) to the left and right flanges of the rack frame. Lift the bracket out and
away from the rack frame.
Tip:
Save the bracket for any future reinstallation or shipping of the drawer that might be
required.

If you need to install your EMX0 PCIe3 expansion drawer into a rack, complete the following steps:
a.
Ensure that you have the following items before you start your installation:
v
#1 and #2 Phillips screwdriver
v
Flat-head screwdriver
v
Rack with four Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) units of contiguous space
Note:
If you do not have a rack that is installed, install the rack. For instructions, see Racks and
rack features (http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/POWER8/p8hbf/
p8hbf_8xx_kickoff.htm).

Help to lift the EMX0 PCIe3 expansion drawer into the rack, which requires three people.
