Chapter 12. Field replacement
This section discusses field replacement procedures.
Removing and replacing rack doors and side panels
You might need to remove and replace rack doors and side panels. Use the
procedures in this section to perform these tasks.
DR1 doors and side panels
This section covers removing and replacing the doors and side panels on a DR550
DR1.
Removing the DR1 front door
To remove the DR1 front door, follow these steps:
1. Using the DR1 door key, unlock and open the door.
2. Rotate the upper and lower hinge pins and lift up each hinge pin.
Note: This action will release the door from the hinges.
3.
Grasp the door firmly with both hands and pull it away from the hinges.
Replacing the DR1 front door
To replace the DR1 front door, follow these steps:
1. Grasp the door firmly with both hands and align the slots in the door with the
hinge pins.
2. While holding the door firmly with one hand, push each of the hinge pins
down into the closed position.
3. Close the front door and lock it using the DR1 door key.
Removing the DR1 rear doors
To remove the DR1 rear doors, follow these steps:
1. Using the DR1 door key, unlock and open the right rear door.
2. Squeeze the blue colored slide bars together to open the left rear door.
