Installing the 3570 in a Rack

The following notices are translated into selected languages. Each notice contains an identifier
(Caution=Cx).

CAUTION The 3570 Model B11 weighs approximately 24 kilograms (53 pounds); it takes two
persons to safely lift this unit.

CAUTION The 3570 Model B12 weighs approximately 29 kilograms (64 pounds); it takes two
persons to safely lift this unit.

Note: This notice is translated into selected languages. See C2 and C4 in the INSP section.

1. If you have assistance to lift the 3570, go to step 12 on page INST-21.

If you do not have assistance, use the rack hoist P/N 69X5542 (branch office tool) or equivalent to
install the 3570.

2. Install the rack hoist using the instructions provided.

3. Position the 3570 shipping container in front of the rack.

4. See Figure 209. Route one end of the hoist sling strap

under the 3570 while still in the

shipping container.

5. Attach the sling to the hoist.

Attention: The balance point of the 3570 is toward the rear of the 3570.

6. Raise the 3570 slightly to check for proper balance. If required, lower the 3570 and readjust the

position of the sling.

7. See Figure 210 on page INST-21. Raise the 3570 by using the hoist

until it clears the

shipping container.
