It is normally picked during load rewind when R31 drops.

This occu rs when both capstans are extended. It holds un

til load point is reached. The custom er engineer's external
reverse switch, or the reverse switch on the tape tester can

also be used to pick R33 when the tape unit is not in rewind
status.
