To fully set up and test the appliance in your network, use the following high-level
processes:
1.
Install the appliance in a rack:
a. Install the rails in the rack.
b. Secure the appliance in the rack.
c. Connect the appliance to an AC source.
d. Connect the appliance to the network.
2. Set up the initial firmware configuration:
a. Connect the USB serial cable to the serial port.
b.
Initialize the appliance.
c. Update the appliance firmware.
d.
Verify the initial firmware configuration from the user interface.
3. Define the base configuration.
Note: If the intrusion switch was tripped during installation, clear the intrusion
detection with the
device clear-intrusion command.
