Startup configuration The output displays the following information about the
startup configuration:
v Size - Size, in bytes, of the startup configuration.
v Check sum - A unique ID for the file. If the contents of
the file change, the check sum changes also.
v
Modification date and time - Date and time that the
startup configuration was last saved.
Boot flash The model number and size of the device’s boot flash.
Boot image The image must be ceb <xxxxx>. The output displays
the following information about the image:
v Version - “3.8.00Txxy” indicates the image version
number. The “Txxy” is used by support for record
keeping. The “xx” indicates the hardware type, while
the “y” indicates the image type.
v
Size - The size, in bytes, of the image.
v
Check sum - A unique ID for the image. If the
contents of the image change, the check sum
changes also.
v Compilation date and time - The date and time that
the image was compiled.
Displaying version information
You can display version information for the B48C and B50C using the show version
command.

Syntax: show version
The highlighted lines in the output indicate the versions currently running boot,
monitor and Multi-Service IronWare images for the switches. The fields are
described in Table 12 on page 47 except for the following:
The “HW:” line indicates the hardware and the type of software package enabled on
the unit. The type of software package enabled on the system can be one of the
following:

BASE: Indicates that the BASE software package is enabled on the unit.
