B50C (Fiber) (4002-C5B / 4002BC5)
The B50C (Fiber) switch has forty-eight 100/1000 MbE SFP ports plus two 10 GbE
XFP ports, one DB9 serial management interface port labeled Console, one
10/100/1000 MbE RJ45 out-of-band management port, one resilient six-fan fan tray,
and two AC power supply bays for 1+1 redundancy with one 500 W AC power
supply included.
Control features
Each c-series Ethernet Switch front panel may have the following interfaces:
v Serial management interface (all models, the port labeled Console )
v
10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port management interface (all models)
v 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet network interface ports
v
100/1000 Mbps SFP Ethernet network interface ports
v 10 Gbps XFP Ethernet network interface ports (standard on B50C models,
optional on B24C models)
Serial management interface (Console port)
The serial management interface is present on all models and enables you to
configure and manage the device using a third-party terminal emulation
application on a directly connected PC. A straight-through EIA/TIA DB-9 serial
cable (M/F) ships with the device. The serial management interface (the port
labeled
Console ) is located in the front panel.
LEDs for ports
The 10/100/1000 MbE RJ45 network interface ports provide status information
using the LEDs listed in Table 2 on page 7.
