Chapter 1. Introduction
This IBM
®
4 U Rack Mount Tape Enclosure Installation Guide provides information
about:
v Unpacking the tape enclosure and accessory cartons
v
Setting up the tape enclosure and installing a drive
v Installing the tape enclosure in a rack
v
Getting help and technical assistance
You can install up to four full-high drives or six half-high drives in the enclosure.
See “Setting up the enclosure and installing a drive” on page 10 for more
information.
The tape enclosure comes with a limited warranty. For information about the terms
of the warranty, see Appendix A, “IBM Statement of Limited Warranty Z125-4753-09
08/2006,” on page 23. You can obtain up-to-date information about the tape
enclosure at http://www.ibm.com/support/.
