9) You will need to drive your vehicle to a place where you can safely make two counter-
clockwise circles.
10) When ready put the mirror in the automatic compass calibration mode
(follow steps 1-8).
11) The timer will start counting up from 00. Do not move the vehicle until the timer
reaches 20. Once the timer reaches 20 start to drive and make two counter-clockwise
circles but do not go over 5 MPH, this is important.
12) Once you have completed the two counter-clockwise circles push the Power button to
store the calibration and exit the Settings and Calibration mode.
At this point all changes have been saved.
VIII. Troubleshooting
Q:
The Green light never comes on or the compass/temperature doesn’t show
A:
Check your power and ground connections. Check for a blown fuse. Check to see if the
harness came unplugged from the mirror.
Q:
The Green light is on so I know I have power but I do not see any video from my backup
camera
A:
Check the power connection to the camera. Make sure when the vehicle is in Reverse there
is power to the backup camera. Also check the video connection at the camera and the
mirror.
