Please note that the description gives examples for one slave. The description applies
to the second slave as well.
Important note
When connecting a SIMATIC S5 to an ibaBM-DP (in DP-64 mode) via PROFIBUS, e. g.
by an IM308C interface board, you should prevent a data format conflict. Because the
REAL format of S5 does not comply with IEEE standard, the S5-data should be con-
verted on S5-side before being transferred to the PROFIBUS interface!
In compatibility mode 32Mbit or in 32Mbit Flex mode, the data type “S5 FLOAT” is avail-
able.
