Data acquisition on the redundant PROFIBUS 32Mbit Flex
Fig. 8: Configuration redundant PROFIBUS 32Mbit Flex – sniffer function and/or active slaves
When using the highly available automation system S7-400H, there are two parallel re-
dundant PROFIBUS lines. ibaBM-DP is connected to both lines using the two DP con-
nections Bus0 (X40) and Bus1 (X41).
Up to 8 pairs of active slaves (one slave with the same number on Bus0/1) can be cre-
ated.
Just as with non-redundant PROFIBUS systems, the device configuration and the ac-
quired data are exchanged via a bidirectional FO connection with ibaPDA.
For further explanations concerning the redundancy mode, please see chapter 12.
8.4
Data acquisition on the redundant PROFIBUS compatibility
mode 32Mbit
Fig. 9: Configuration redundant PROFIBUS compatibility mode 32Mbit – sniffer function and/or
active slaves.
Also in compatibility mode 32Mbit, the device can be operated on the redundant PRO-
FIBUS of a highly available automation system S7-400H. The same notes apply as for
chapter 8.3.
