1. Rotate the knob to release
2. Lift the air filter cover to remove from the air filter unit
3. Remove the foam filter element. Refer to Fig. 5.0

4. If the foam filter element is dirty, clean it in warm soapy water,
rinse, and allow it to dry thoroughly, or clean in nonflammable sol-
vent and allow to dry
5. Drip the foam filter element in clean engine oil, then squeeze out
all excess oil. The engine will smoke when started if too much oil is
left in the filter. Refer to Fig. 5.1
6. Wipe dirt from the air filter unit and cover using a moist rag.
