Changing the Engine Oil
1. Set the start switch to the STOP position and make sure the fuel cap is fully
closed.
2. Loosen the cover screws and remove the maintenance cover.
3. Place a container next to the engine to catch the used oil (refer to fig.).
4. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and drain the oil into the container by tilting the
generator.
5. With the engine in a level position, add oil to the upper level mark. (refer to fig.).
6. Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick securely.
7. Reinstall the maintenance cover and tighten the cover screws securely.
WARNING

Make sure the start switch is in the STOP position before draining.

Please dispose of used motor oil in a manner that is compatible with the
environment. We suggest you take it in a sealed container to your local service
station for reclamation. Do not throw it in the trash or pour it on the ground.

Do not use gasoline for cleaning since it is flammable and explosive under
certain conditions.
